I only live literally less than half a mile and I'm so glad I do! These tacos are to die for! Ordered lunch with some coworkers and they suggested the tacos el pastor. I am so happy they did because they opened my eyes to this amazing place!
The food is amazing especially the hot sauce and tacos. Just the decor isn't greatest and needs renovation.
This taqueria reminds me of when I was living in south Florida, and got to experience regular homestyle Mexican cooking. If you are craving authentic Mexican food, look no further. Very decent portion size as well .
I thoroughly enjoyed the food here and the staff was very friendly. The young woman helped me pick a few things from the menu since it was my first time and I wanted to try a few things to-go. The chicken nachos were great and ordinarily I wouldn't get nachos to go, but I wasn't traveling far so I wasn't worried about the tortilla chips getting soggy and they didn't. Usually refried beans are not my favorite thing but I do enjoy them at great Mexican joints. I have to say these were BANGIN! Yes, I said bangin and I just couldn't get enough of them. I also got 3 tacos for sharing: Chicken, beef and al pastor. The chicken and beef we all thought were just asi asi (see what I did just there?), but the tacos al pastor I am still dreaming about and I hoarded that one all for myself. Being the gringa that I am I asked for some sour cream and squeezed lime and a dab of sour cream on my tacos. We were a tad disappointed that the chicken and beef weren't a little more... lively I guess... but I will definitely be back
Have you tried the sopes? All very good, but the chorizo ones and Al Pastor ones are my current favorites. This hidden gem of a restaurant is truly hidden. Do seek them out.
